How does Izonil work?

The physical principle behind Izonil is called “permeation.”
Permeation describes the passage of gases or vapors (as with Izonil) through a barrier.

The pores within the barrier are too small for liquid water molecules to penetrate. However, water vapor can pass through this barrier due to its smaller molecular size and the difference in moisture concentration on either side of the Izonil layer.

This moisture concentration gradient creates a particularly strong and continuous diffusion effect.
Once the moisture reaches the outer side of the Izonil layer, it is released into the air in gaseous form.

This allows damp walls to dry out — even if new moisture continues to arise.
